Coerver Kid Signs for Swiss Super League Team

15 year old Yannick Martinoli from Auckland, New Zealand is the latest Coerver® Coaching graduate to sign for a professional club when he penned a contract with one of Switzerland’s top professional teams, Grasshopper-Zurich FC, last week.

While playing for the Maori Football NZ Select Team, Yannick was identified as a emerging talent by Coerver® Coaching staff and invited into the Coerver® Performance Academy where he settled in quickly. Intensive work was done to polish off Yannick’s raw ability in time for his trials overseas where he has excelled.

Yannick’s great grandfather, Robert Ballaman was the Captain of Grasshoppers FC in Switzerland for 10 years during the 1940-50′s. Robert during this period of his career gained 50 caps for Switzerland and was the Swiss top goal scorer during the 1954 FIFA World Cup™. Robert, at the age of 85, recently passed away and was honored with a headline article in the National Swiss sports newspapers.

All of us at Coerver® Coaching wish Yannick the same success as his great grandfather!

New Coerver Coaching Licensee for North Queensland

Mr Cavanah and Mr Lancsar from Coerver Australia

Coerver Coaching Australia is pleased to announce the signing of its most recent licensee Mr. John Cavanah as the licensee for North Queensland. Mr. Cavanah brings with him a wealth of experience from playing as a professional in the UK to Australia with Newcastle, Blacktown and Wollongong.

Mr. Cavanah has successfully run several businesses in the sporting industry and is currently involved in the local and regional areas of North Queensland in youth development.

Vice President and Asia Pacific Director Jason Lancsar said

John brings with him the right skill set of business and football which will compliment each other in the management of a Coerver Coaching license. John recently spent a week in Canberra studying the method meeting with staff, players and parents which we believe will assist him in best practice operations.

We are pleased to now have a Coerver footprint in North Queensland which we believe will be a great success and is in line with the current focus on skills training for young players. To be a true national program we need to be in as many regions as possible to ensure the program is accessible to as many players as possible.
